Luke and wannabe knight Jeanne D'Arc travel through Notre-Dame de Paris and other French landmarks in search of the Globus Cruciger that Indiana has taken. Indiana takes the relic, but instead of returning to his base, he runs away with it. Mr. X, the man in order and voice of the Black Elevator had broken his promise to bring Indiana back to the present. Luke chases the runaway Indiana all the way to Mont Saint Michele and after a hard fought battle retrieve the Globus Cruciger for Jeanne to return. But Indiana attacks Luke on his elevator ride back home and falls off the time traveling device, taking Jean with him. Luke, shaking in shock and fury, vows to find Jean and save her from the midst of time and space.
